01 - Normal Delivery/ C - Section delivery

Normal delivery is the most natural way to give birth. It is the preferred option for the majority of expectant mothers. Your hospital stay is significantly reduced if you give birth vaginally. The recovery time following a normal delivery is shorter than that following cesarean delivery. The chances of developing complications during childbirth are reduced. Mothers who choose vaginal birth have a lower mortality risk.

A C-section is surgical procedure for childbirth. Therefore, you know exactly when your child will arrive in the world. It can be planned electively or may need to be done as emergency under certain circumstances. If you plan for cesarean birth, you are less likely to experience incontinence than if you have a vaginal birth.

02 - VBAC

Women who have had a cesarean section usually have the option of having their next child vaginally. If your doctor believes that there are medical concerns or risks with a VBAC, he or she will most likely recommend an elective cesarean.

However, VBAC is not for everyone. Certain factors, such as a high-risk pregnancy, shorter inter-delivery interval can reduce chances of successful VBAC. Trial of labour after caesarian for a successful VBAC needs an experienced support staff and resources such as 24/7 NICU and Anaestesia services which are available at Aster RV Hospital. If you're thinking about VBAC, your doctor can help you figure out if you're a good candidate and what's involved.

03 - Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

A laparoscopic hysterectomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to remove the uterus. In this, a small incision is made on the belly button, and a small size camera is inserted. Your surgeon watches the image from this camera on a TV screen and conducts the operative procedure. Two or three more tiny incisions are made in the lower abdomen. Specialized instruments are inserted and used in the removal process. Advantages of minimally invasive surgery include no scarless surgeries, minimal blood loss and pain and faster recovery.

04 - Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition in which the endometrium (tissue that lines the inside of the uterus or womb) grows outside of the uterus. Endometriosis generally develops in the lower abdomen or pelvis, but it can also develop anywhere in the body. Symptoms of endometriosis include pain with menstrual periods, lower abdominal pain, pain during sexual intercourse and difficulty getting pregnant. In some cases, few women with endometriosis may not have any symptoms at all. It needs appropriate diagnosis and expertise in Laparoscopic surgical treatment to get good relief from symptoms and successful fertility outcomes.

05 - Laparoscopic cystectomy

Laparoscopic Cystectomy is the removal of ovarian cysts through a minimally invasive procedure in which small incisions are made in the abdomen to insert a small camera and surgical instruments to record images that are then displayed on a monitor.
