Marking One Year of BeFirst: Aster Medcity's Lifesaving Initiative Commemorates Anniversary with Mega BLS Training at MES Asmabi College, Kodungallur

Celebrating the one year anniversary of BeFirst, To Aid and Save Lives,’ an awareness initiative of Aster Medcity to train common people on various aspects of medical emergencies, A mega BLS( Basic Life Support) training was inaugurated in MES Asmabi College, Kodungallur.  Organized in association with Rotary Club and Sahrudaya Welfare Society, almost 200 students benefitted from the event.  The objective of this endeavor is to sensitize individuals and empower them to accurately identify and respond to medical emergencies promptly. With an impressive record of 18,000 volunteers already trained through the BeFirst program, along with the completion of over 190 activities and training sessions, the initiative's impact continues to resonate and expand. 

“Initiative like this is a commendable service to society. BeFirst strives to create a lasting and meaningful impact on society. I would  like to congratulate Aster Medcity for taking up this effort,” E T Taison Master Kaipamangalam MLA inaugurating the event.  As a socially responsible healthcare pioneer, Aster Medcity is dedicated to saving lives. With enlightening health talks and workshops, the unique initiative is fostering informed and healthier communities. 

BeFirst campaign aims to reduce pre-hospital death in case of medical emergencies. Under this initiative, Aster Hospitals collaborate with institutions to train people on various aspects of medical emergencies and how to handle them like a pro. The specialized doctors from Aster Hospitals conduct workshops on first aid, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support to equip one to handle medical emergencies.

Launched on August 15th, 2022 on Independence Day BeFirst campaign by the Emergency Department of Aster hospitals reached out to different sections of society in order to ensure maximum participation and engagement in saving lives. College students, Corporates, Ngos’s, Kudumbasree, NCC cadets, Police, and Traffic Police are some who benefitted from the program.
