Left Main Interventions
Left main coronary disease includes blockages of the left main coronary artery, the major blood vessel supplying the left heart muscle. Any procedure of this artery is complex as it is bifurcated into many branches at several points. First, a balloon stent is placed in the vessel to enlarge the diameter of the lumen, followed by a medicated stent placement in the lesion area.
