Emergency Thrombolysis
Blood clots block the arteries in our heart or brain and cause a heart attack or stroke. Thrombolysis is a method of dissolving these clots and restoring the blood flow to the heart and brain. The medicines used for inducing thrombolysis are called thrombolytic agents. These medicines are given as an emergency measure, preferably within half an hour of hospitalization.
