Skull-base surgery

To remove growths on the base of the skull, the top few vertebrae of the spinal column, or the underside of the brain, skull base surgery is performed. A team of specialists, including radiologists, maxillofacial surgeons, neurosurgeons, and ENT surgeons, is required for this surgery. The specialists use a minimally invasive endoscopic approach to do skull base surgery as it is a sensitive area to see and access. In this surgery, the surgeon makes a small incision just above the eyebrow or uses the natural openings in the skull, like the mouth or nose, to insert equipment and perform surgery.
