The type, size, and location of the tumor and your general health affect how the brain tumor is treated. For example, if the tumor is at a location where surgery can be removed easily, the neurosurgeon will attempt to remove it.
Some brain tumors make surgery problematic because they are too close to vital areas of your brain tissue. So your doctor will take out as much of the tumor as is safe in these circumstances.
