Tubal ligation

Tubal ligation, also known as "getting your tubes tied" or "tubal sterilization," is a permanent contraceptive method. Tubal ligation permanently prevents pregnancy by cutting, binding, or blocking the fallopian tubes. The process does not impact your menstrual cycle. Tubal ligation can reduce your chances of developing ovarian cancer, particularly if the fallopian tubes are excised.
