Family Centred Care
The paediatric team has a culture of family-centric compassionate care. This is an approach to develop and nurture the family's role in partnership with that of the healthcare team in care of sick neonates.
Implementation of this strategy has been shown to decrease the length of hospital stay, improve the wellbeing of preterm babies, allow better allocation of resources and enhance parent-infant bonding.
