Dr. Sharon Anne Thomas

A pulmonologist with 4 years experience, Dr.Sharon Anne is involved in active management of a variety of respiratory cases. Her areas of interest include Interventional Pulmonology, Obstructive/ Restrictive lung diseases, pleural diseases and Tuberculosis. She has been actively involved in performing bronchoscopy (bronchoalveolar lavage and endobronchial forceps biopsy), CBCT-guided endobronchial cryobiopsy, endobronchial ultrasound (linear and radial)-guided TBNA and cryonodal biopsy, tumor debulking (Snare/ APC/cryotherapy), airway stenting (metallic/ silicone), airway dilatation, rigid bronchoscopy, airway foreign body retrieval, medical Thoracoscopy, USG-guided pleural procedures (including various modalities of indwelling pleural catheterization, pleurodesis, adhesiolysis) & CT-guided lung biopsy. She was trained in Interventional Pulmonology under Dr. Hari Kishan Gonuguntla, MD, DM (Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad).  She served as Senior Resident for a year at Government Medical College, Ernakulam, prior to joining Aster Medcity.
