Ms. Aparna Anna Mathew is an Onco-Psychologist with 3 years of experience in Psycho-oncology. Currently she is working as an Onco-Psychologist at the Department of Oncology at Aster Medcity hospital. She has completed M.A. in Psychology from Central University of Haryana and M.Phil in Psycho-oncology from Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar. Her areas of interest are counselling and psychotherapy for Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult & Geriatric Cancer Patients. Psycho-Oncology focuses on understanding and treating cancer by considering the psychological, social, spiritual, emotional and functional aspects of cancer. Psycho-oncological counselling aims to reduce uncertainty, feelings of anxiety, helplessness, and confusion among cancer patients and their families.
