
Ms. Vani Sekhar
Ms. Vani Sekhar holds experience in various clinical and school settings. She has assisted as an Educational assistant at NCDSB, Welland, Ontario, Canada and interned at Bethesda, Thorold, Ontario, Canada, assisting in and implementing Intensive Behaviour Intervention Programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has also interned in AMAZE Charitable Trust, Coimbatore, a special school for children with autism and related communication disorders. She has previously worked in a well-known ABA center as an ABA therapist, gaining vast experience in working with children with disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, etc.
She has also worked as a counselor at NIMHANS in a project under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. She is most passionate about working with children with special needs and is adept in conducting assessments, implementing skill acquisition and behaviour management programs with children in one-to-one and group settings, creating IEPs according to the child’s needs, parent training and assisting home sessions. She believes that a child’s progress in therapy is a collaborative effort and is committed to working with the families, therapists, psychologists and teachers, to develop customized plans to meet individual needs of children and their families, supporting them in living a fulfilled life.
