“Let the giver keep giving, and the receiver keep receiving…
And one day, while receiving, may we hold the hands of the giver.”

A special program highlighting the inspiring experience of how organ donation can give a new lease of life was organized at Aster Aadhar Hospital. On this occasion, an awareness session titled “The Journey of Hand Transplantation and the Precious Gift of Organ Donation” was conducted.

The chief guest for the program was Monika More, one of India’s first female bilateral (both hands) hand transplant recipients. While addressing the audience, she shared her inspiring journey and explained how organ donation gave her life a new direction. She also emphasized the importance of organ donation and spoke about how it restored her confidence to live an independent life once again.

The program began with a welcome address by Managing Director Dr. Ulhas Damale. Dr. Chetan Nerpagar further explained the hand transplant surgery process and highlighted the importance of organ donation.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Dalon Fernandes, COO of Aster Aadhar Hospital. The event conveyed a powerful message that even after death, organ donation can give new life to many people.
