At Aster Aadhar Hospital Kolhapur, we have been providing pediatric surgical services for the past 10 years, supported by our state-of-the-art operation theatres and a dedicated team of pediatricians and neonatologists in the NICU and PICU. Until recently, we had been serving populations through various government schemes. This year, we proudly celebrated Pediatric Surgery Day, an occasion dedicated to reflecting on the advancements in pediatric surgery and the significant impact these innovations have had on the lives of children.
The event began with a traditional Dhanvantari Pujan conducted by the Rose Patels, a ritual to honor Lord Dhanvantari, the divine healer. The ceremony invoked blessings for the health and well-being of all children and families, setting a hopeful and positive tone for the rest of the day's proceedings.
Following the pujan, Dr. Ulhas Damale, the Managing Director of Aster Aadhar Hospital, addressed the audience. He highlighted the tremendous growth in pediatric surgery over the years. He underscored the importance of integrating cutting-edge technologies with compassionate care to achieve the best possible outcomes for young patients. Dr. Kittur’s talk left everyone inspired to continue striving for excellence in pediatric care..At Aster Aadhar Hospital, we are doing routine laparoscopy. As the hospital now got a robot, we hope to add robotic surgery for children in the near future.
