Aster Medcity, Kochi, hosted the inauguration of the Centre of Excellence in Fetal Medicine and the launch of Jananeeyam, a special initiative aimed at making advanced fetal care more accessible to expectant mothers referred from government hospitals across Kerala, on 1 September 2026.
The event was graced by Shri K. Muraleedharan, Hon’ble Minister for Health, Family Welfare & Devaswom, Government of Keralam.
The new Centre of Excellence in Fetal Medicine marked an important milestone in strengthening advanced fetal medicine services and providing comprehensive, specialised care for mothers and babies. As part of the Jananeeyam initiative, free fetal scans were provided to first 150 expectant mothers from government hospitals across Kerala helping timely access to essential fetal care and specialist support.
Through Jananeeyam, Aster Medcity took a meaningful step towards bringing advanced fetal care closer to those who needed it most, reaffirming its commitment to supporting healthier pregnancies and giving every baby a better beginning.
The occasion brought together healthcare professionals and well-wishers to celebrate this significant step towards advancing maternal and fetal healthcare in Kerala.
