Kochi, 29 July 2015: The Joint Commission International (JCI) awarded the coveted Gold Seal of Approval to Aster Medcity for exceptional standards in healthcare and patient safety. Known as the gold standard in global healthcare, the JCI Accreditation is awarded only to the best hospitals in the world after identifying, measuring and sharing the best practices in overall quality, patient safety and employee safety. Aster Medcity won the JCI Accreditation based on the latest and the most stringent evaluation standards that measured a total of 1145 elements. Aster Medcity is the first quaternary care hospital in Kerala to win the JCI Accreditation.
Ms. Paula Wilson, President & Chief Executive Officer of JCI handed over the prestigious accreditation to Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman, Aster Medcity and Dr. Harish Pillai, CEO, Aster Medcity, in the presence of Dr. Prabhu Vinayakham, Managing Director, Asia Pacific Joint Commission International and several other dignitaries.

Apart from the JCI Accreditation, Aster Medcity has also achieved the NABH Accreditation, first ever NABH Award for Excellence in Nursing and Green OT Certification by Bureau Veritas – all within one year of opening its door to the world.
