Department of Gastro Sciences and Emergency Medicine at Aster Medcity organized a hands-on workshop on Point of Care Ultrasonography (POCUS) and Continuing Medical Education (CME) on Gastrointestinal Emergencies. The event was designed for General Physicians, Emergency Physicians, Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, and Post Graduate Students who can attend the workshop to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of emergency medicine.
The workshop includes the basics of USG, Echo Screening, RUSH Protocol, and Bedside Fast Screening. The attendees can also participate in case-based discussions on various emergencies such as Foreign Body Ingestion in Children, Gastrointestinal Bleeding, Acute Liver Failure and Abdominal Trauma.
The course was directed by Dr. Jeffey George, Consultant, Medical Gastroenterology, Aster Medcity and Dr. Johnson K Varghese, HOD & Consultant, Aster Emergency Medicine.
