The Department of Pediatric Surgery at Aster MIMS Kozhikode marked a significant milestone with CHIN '25, celebrating 25 years of excellence in delivering advanced pediatric surgical care. The Silver Jubilee event brought together healthcare professionals, former faculty members, staff, patients, and well-wishers to commemorate the department's remarkable journey and achievements.
The celebrations were inaugurated by Gopinath Muthukad, renowned magician and motivational speaker. T. J. Wilson, our executive director, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
Over the past 25 years, the Department of Pediatric Surgery has established itself as a leading center for neonatal surgery, pediatric urology, minimally invasive pediatric surgery (laparoscopic surgery), pediatric gastrointestinal surgery, congenital anomaly correction, and trauma care in children. The department has successfully managed thousands of complex surgical cases, providing specialized care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
The event highlighted the department's growth, clinical milestones, academic contributions, and commitment to innovation in pediatric healthcare. Special recognition was given to the surgeons, nurses, technicians, and support staff whose dedication and expertise have played a vital role in building one of Kerala's most trusted pediatric surgery programs.
