Aster MIMS Calicut hosted a heartfelt get-together to honour real-life heroes who stepped forward to save lives during critical emergencies. These individuals had earlier received Basic Life Support (BLS) training under the hospital’s flagship initiative, “Be First – To Aid & Save Lives”, led by the Department of Emergency Medicine.
The event brought together men, women, and even young people who proved that timely intervention can make the difference between life and death. Each of these heroes, trained in CPR, first aid, and emergency response, shared their experiences of saving lives in their communities.
The gathering was not just a celebration but also a reminder of the impact of emergency preparedness. By empowering more than 5 lakh people across Kerala with BLS training, Aster MIMS Calicut has created a strong network of Aster Superheroes—ordinary people with the extraordinary ability to protect lives.
The hospital reaffirmed its mission of going beyond treatment to build a safer, stronger, and more resilient community where everyone can be a life saver.
