Aster MIMS Calicut has taken a remarkable new step in the fight against cancer with the launch of its Preventive Cancer Clinic, an initiative designed to promote early detection, awareness, and timely intervention for various types of cancer.
The clinic was inaugurated by National Award-winning actress Aparna Balamurali, who emphasised the importance of regular health check-ups and self-awareness in safeguarding one’s health.
The event also marked the beginning of ‘She Can 2.0’, the second phase of Aster MIMS’s ongoing women’s cancer awareness campaign. The initiative aims to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to take charge of their own health through preventive screenings and early diagnosis.
Held on October 26 at Aster MIMS Calicut, the launch event witnessed the participation of medical experts from Aster MIMS and popular stand-up comedians Mahadevan and John Joe, who added moments of laughter to a day filled with hope and inspiration.
Speaking at the event, Aster MIMS Calicut oncologists highlighted how prevention and awareness can save countless lives. The Preventive Cancer Clinic aims to provide comprehensive screening services, counselling, and education to help individuals identify cancer risks early and take proactive steps toward wellness.
This initiative is part of Aster MIMS’ continued commitment to community health, cancer prevention, and holistic patient care in Kerala.
