Dubai , 8th August: Delivering the key note address at the ‘Invest in North Malabar’ business investment meet organized by The North Malabar Chamber of Commerce in Cochin, Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare suggested that a special cell should be set up directly under the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan for clearance of big projects. He added that the ‘one window clearance’ would help projects to be implemented in a time-bound manner and this was essential to attract investors to the state . He also called for stopping the present practice of frequent hartals which was scaring away potential investors from outside the state .
Informing the delegates that the DM Aster group had invested over Rs.1500 crores over the last 15 years in the state and provided employment to over 8500 people including 1000 doctors and 2000 nurses , he described his experience as positive and strongly recommended investors to come to the state with their new projects. For investors from abroad, he advised appointing talented professional management locally as trying to manage remotely from outside was not feasible for success in the long term.
Dr Moopen reiterated his continuing commitment to the state and North Malabar with a new Rs.150 cr. project for a 200 bedded hospital in Kannur providing employment to around 1500 people. He also informed that his another hospital will be coming up in Trivandrum.
