Aster MIMS Calicut successfully hosted the Reviva Pediatric CME on 22nd March 2026, centered on the theme “Advancing Pediatric Emergency Care.” The programme aimed to strengthen the knowledge and clinical expertise of healthcare professionals in managing a wide range of pediatric emergencies through an evidence-based and multidisciplinary approach.
The CME was graced by distinguished faculty and experts, with Dr. Debasis Das Adhikari, HOD – Pediatric Emergency, CMC Vellore, as the key invited expert, bringing extensive experience and valuable insights into pediatric emergency care. The sessions were chaired and supported by eminent clinicians including Dr. Manjula Anand, along with a panel of experienced specialists from Aster MIMS and other institutions.
The scientific programme featured a series of expert talks, interactive discussions, and case-based learning sessions covering critical topics such as sepsis and septic shock, pediatric trauma, neonatal emergencies, cardiological emergencies, oncological and nephrological crises, poisoning management, status epilepticus, and various surgical, gastrointestinal, psychiatric, and endocrinological emergencies in children.
Key highlights included engaging panel discussions such as Trauma 360º and Neonatal Emergencies, where multidisciplinary teams shared practical approaches to complex cases. The event also featured a quiz competition for postgraduate trainees, fostering academic enthusiasm and participation.
An exclusive simulation-based discussion session for postgraduates held in the evening further enhanced hands-on learning and real-time decision-making skills in emergency scenarios.
With KSMC credit hours applied, the CME witnessed active participation from doctors, postgraduate trainees, and nursing professionals. The programme reaffirmed Aster MIMS Calicut’s commitment to continuous medical education and improving outcomes in pediatric emergency care.
