Aster Volunteers Kottakkal Conduct Cleaning Drive and Tree Plantation at Koottayi Beach on 77th Republic Day
As part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations, Aster Volunteers Kottakkal organised a cleaning drive and tree-planting programme at Koottayi Beach, in association with the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), Malappuram.
The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation, public cleanliness, and sustainable tourism. Volunteers actively cleaned the beach premises by removing plastic waste and other debris, while saplings were planted to enhance green cover and support the preservation of the coastal ecosystem.
The programme truly reflected the spirit of Republic Day, encouraging civic responsibility, environmental awareness, and community involvement. The collaboration with DTPC Malappuram significantly strengthened efforts to protect and preserve the natural beauty of Koottayi Beach, one of the key tourist destinations in the Malappuram district.
Through this impactful initiative, Aster Volunteers Kottakkal reaffirmed their commitment to social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and nation-building, contributing towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier India.
