Dr. Lalitha completed her MBBS from Bangalore Medical College, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, and DNB in Paediatrics from the National Board of Examinations. She further advanced her expertise with an FNB in Paediatric Critical Care, and FACEE (Paediatric Emergency Medicine). She was awarded Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH-UK) in recognition of her exemplary contributions to the field.
With over 25 years of experience in Paediatrics and Paediatric Critical Care, Dr. Lalitha specializes in the management of critically ill infants and children, including trauma, post-surgical care, transplant care, invasive ventilation, CRRT, ECMO, and paediatric nephro- and neuro-critical care.
Dr. Lalitha has held several senior academic and leadership roles, including Professor and Head of Paediatric Intensive Care at St John’s Hospital, Bangalore, and has been actively involved in postgraduate and super-specialty training programs(DrNB Pediatric critical Care, Fellowship in PICU). She is a member of professional bodies, contributes to national academic programs, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in paediatric critical care. She is a National Instructor for PALS, and the State President-Elect (2027) of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics – PICU, Karnataka Chapter.
