Dr. Karan Shetty
Consultant - Orthopedics & Joint Replacement
Dr. Karan Shetty is a Consultant – Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement with extensive experience in joint replacement, complex arthroplasty, deformity correction and orthopaedic trauma. He has specialised training in joint replacement and has worked in high-volume centres managing complex hip and knee conditions.
He completed his MBBS and MS in Orthopaedics from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI), where he was the topper of his batch, followed by DNB in Orthopaedics. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Joint Replacement at Sparsh Hospital for Advanced Surgeries, Bengaluru, a high-volume centre for hip and knee replacements.
Dr. Shetty has independently performed over 1,100 total knee replacements and more than 400 total hip replacements, including complex primary and revision hip and knee replacements. His experience also includes over 60 robotic total knee replacements, along with management of periprosthetic fractures following hip and knee replacement surgery.
His clinical expertise extends to deformity correction and limb reconstruction, complex orthopaedic trauma, fracture complications, arthroscopy and sports-related knee procedures. He has also contributed to orthopaedic education through faculty roles, workshops, CME programmes and academic presentations.
