Dr. Ramkumar S is a Senior Consultant in Cardiac Interventions & Electrophysiology with more than a decade of experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of cardiovascular disorders. His key areas of expertise include complex coronary interventions, cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm disorders and cardiac implantable electronic devices.
He has extensive experience in advanced coronary interventions, including complex angioplasty, bifurcation lesions, chronic total occlusion (CTO) angioplasty and left main coronary artery interventions. He is also trained in advanced intravascular imaging and physiological assessment techniques such as IVUS, OCT and FFR.
Dr. Ramkumar has a special interest in cardiac electrophysiology and device therapy, with expertise in pacemaker implantation, leadless pacemakers, conduction system pacing, ICD implantation, cardiac resynchronisation therapy and electrophysiology studies with radiofrequency ablation.
He is among the few specialists in India to hold the prestigious CCDS certification from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), reflecting specialised expertise in the management of cardiac implantable electronic devices. He is also an APHRS-certified arrhythmia specialist.
He has performed more than 10,000 coronary angiographic procedures and over 1,000 coronary angioplasties, including advanced imaging-guided interventions. His experience also includes electrophysiology procedures, ablations and cardiac device implantations.
