Dr. Anupama Shaji
Consultant - Anaesthesiology and Critical Care
Dr. Anupama Shaji is a cardiac anesthesiologist with extensive expertise in perioperative cardiothoracic anaesthesia, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), cardiac critical care, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). She is experienced in the perioperative management of both adult and pediatric cardiac surgical patients.
She completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Kottayam, and MD in Anaesthesiology from Government Medical College, Madurai. She further advanced her training with a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Anaesthesiology and a Post-Doctoral Diploma in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anaesthesia from the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram.
Dr. Anupama has a strong academic and research interest in cardiac anaesthesia and perioperative echocardiography. She has presented award-winning research at several national conferences organized by the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA) and the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anaesthesia (IACTA).
She served as the Scientific Committee Chairperson of the National Cardiac Anaesthesia Conference – IACTACON 2025, Kochi, and has been invited as faculty at multiple national and regional conferences conducted by ISA and IACTA.
