Dr George Taliat completed his MBBS and MS General Surgery from Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore and his M.Ch Plastic Surgery from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. He was selected as one of 8 international candidates to complete a highly coveted, one-year fellowship and Masters Degree in Reconstructive Microsurgery from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, which is renowned as one of the best hospitals for Microsurgery in the world. He has a keen interest in microsurgery for Onco reconstruction, trauma reconstruction and supermicrosurgical surgery for Lymphedema management. He has multiple national and international awards, publications and presentations in the field of Plastic Surgery.
