Dr. Sijith K R

Dr. Sijith has more than 13 years of experience in the field of Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine. He completed his MBBS, DTCD, and MD in Pulmonary Medicine from Government Medical College, Calicut. After his postgraduation, he pursued a DNB in Pulmonary Medicine from the National Board of Examinations. He further advanced his career by undertaking IDCCM training at Medical Trust Hospital, Cochin, under the mentorship of a senior Critical Care Consultant.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Sijith has acquired advanced skills in Interventional Pulmonology, attending numerous national and international workshops led by eminent Pulmonary faculties. His expertise includes EBUS (Radial and Convex), Medical Thoracoscopy, Rigid Bronchoscopy with stenting, and foreign body removal. He has also demonstrated clinical excellence in managing complex critical care cases requiring advanced interventions such as invasive ventilation, percutaneous tracheostomy (PDT), and invasive line placements.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sijith has contributed to academic literature as a co-author of a book in Pediatric Pulmonology and has published several articles in reputed national journals. He is also actively involved in medical education, presently teaching IDCCM and DNB students, and serving as an examiner for DNB Emergency Medicine, thereby playing an important role in training the next generation of specialists.
