Dr. Saniyya Muhammad A is a skilled and compassionate Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with expertise in comprehensive women’s healthcare, including pregnancy care, high-risk obstetrics, infertility evaluation, and gynaecological procedures. She is currently working as a Senior Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Aster MIMS Kottakkal, where she is committed to providing safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care for women across all stages of life.

Dr. Saniyya completed her DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Aster MIMS Calicut after earning her MBBS from Government Medical College Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. With strong clinical training and experience, she has developed expertise in managing antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care, including the treatment and monitoring of high-risk pregnancies.

Her clinical interests include normal and operative vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, gynaecological surgeries, infertility assessment and management, family planning services, and minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. She is also trained in ultrasound in obstetrics and gynaecology, enabling accurate fetal monitoring and diagnosis during pregnancy.

Dr. Saniyya has experience in handling a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, including postpartum haemorrhage (PPH), eclampsia, ruptured ectopic pregnancy, abruptio placentae, obstetric shock, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), acute renal failure (ARF), and placenta accreta spectrum disorders. Her approach combines clinical expertise with compassionate counselling to ensure the best possible outcomes for both mother and baby.

She has also contributed to academic research, including studies on first-trimester β-hCG levels as predictors of adverse pregnancy outcomes and comparative analysis of induction of labour versus spontaneous labour in patients with previous cesarean section.
