Consultant - Surgical Oncologist
Dr. Mahesh is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist with expertise in the comprehensive surgical management of various cancers. His areas of clinical expertise include head and neck cancers, thyroid malignancies, breast cancer and breast-conserving surgery, gynaecological malignancies, gastrointestinal cancers, cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC, as well as skin and soft tissue tumours.
He has a strong academic and clinical background in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology. Dr. Mahesh completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Tirupati, followed by an MCh in Surgical Oncology from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati.
Dr. Mahesh has gained professional experience as an Assistant Professor at SVIMS, Tirupati, and subsequently worked as a Consultant Surgical Oncologist at HCG MNR Cancer Hospital, Ongole. His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, peritoneal surface malignancies and oncoplastic breast surgery.
His academic achievements include the Best Paper Presentation and Best Poster Presentation (1st Prize) at ASICON 2020, 2nd Prize in the National Quiz Competition conducted by the Association of Surgeons of India in 2021, the Sri Simhadri Satyanarayana Rao Gold Medal in Surgical Oncology, and Silver Medals in General Surgery and Ophthalmology.
Dr. Mahesh has actively participated in national academic conferences and research, presenting papers and posters at platforms including ASICON, MIDCON and NATCON. With a strong focus on evidence-based surgical oncology, minimally invasive approaches and multidisciplinary cancer care, Dr. Mahesh is committed to providing comprehensive and patient-centred surgical care while contributing to academic teaching and clinical research.
