Dr Chandrakant G Pujari
Consultant- PICU Pediatric Intensivist
Dr. Chandrakant G. Pujari is a highly skilled Pediatric Intensivist and Consultant in Pediatric Critical Care with over 9 years of experience in managing critically ill children. He completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, MD in Pediatrics from the University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care from St. John’s Medical College and Research Institute, Bengaluru. Dr. Pujari has extensive experience in managing complex pediatric emergencies and life-threatening conditions in infants, children, and adolescents, providing comprehensive and compassionate care during some of the most challenging moments for families. His areas of expertise include advanced respiratory support, pediatric sepsis, neurocritical care, post-operative critical care, and the management of children requiring intensive care support. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Pujari is actively involved in medical education. He previously served as Associate Professor and Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care at St. John’s Medical College and Hospital, Bengaluru, where he trained pediatric residents, critical care fellows, and healthcare professionals through simulation-based learning and advanced life support programs. He is a recognized DrNBSS teacher, an IAP-accredited Intensive Care Chapter teacher, and an ALS/BLS instructor. Dr. Pujari has also contributed extensively to pediatric critical care research, with publications in leading peer-reviewed journals on pediatric neurotrauma, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), respiratory support strategies, and sepsis outcomes. He is currently involved in ongoing research and clinical trials focusing on pediatric sepsis- RESPOND, with a special interest in improving the early recognition and treatment of severe infections in critically ill children. Dr. Chandrakant G. Pujari is currently associated with Aster RV Hospital, Bengaluru, where he is committed to delivering advanced pediatric critical care while supporting children and their families through every stage of treatment and recovery.
