DR. KRISHNA KUMAR R. G.

Dr. Krishna Kumar R. G. is a highly accomplished Interventional Radiologist with advanced fellowship training from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. 

He specializes in both accurate imaging diagnosis and minimally invasive image-guided treatment procedures that often let patients avoid open surgery, with less risk and faster recovery. 

After completing his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Dr. Krishna pursued his MD in Radiodiagnosis at the prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi, where he was awarded the Dr. Shyam Sharma Medal as the Best Postgraduate Student in Radiology. He further secured All India Rank 1 to earn admission into the highly competitive Fellowship in Diagnostic and Interventional Gastrointestinal Radiology (FDIGIR) at AIIMS, New Delhi.

Dr. Krishna has extensive experience in performing complex image-guided vascular and non-vascular interventions. During his fellowship, he was involved in over 500 advanced interventional procedures, including treatment for gastrointestinal bleeding, liver cancers, portal hypertension, obstructive jaundice, vascular disorders, and complex hepatobiliary conditions. His expertise also includes procedures such as TIPS, TACE, liver tumor ablation, uterine artery interventions, varicose vein treatment, liver biopsies, biliary drainage, uterine artery embolization, prostate artery embolization, nephrostomy, dialysis access interventions, and CT- and ultrasound-guided biopsies and drainages. 

Alongside his interventional expertise, Dr. Krishna has a special interest in advanced abdominal imaging, particularly diseases involving the liver, pancreas, biliary system, intestines, and blood vessels. He works closely with gastroenterologists, hepatologists, oncologists, transplant surgeons, and other specialists to provide precise imaging interpretations that support timely diagnosis, treatment planning, and long-term patient management. 

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Krishna is committed to research, innovation, and medical education. He has authored publications in leading international radiology journals, contributed to medical textbook chapters, and presented his work at prestigious national and international conferences, including the Korean Congress of Radiology (South Korea). His research interests include gastrointestinal imaging, interventional radiology and musculoskeletal radiology.
