- 3D CRT (Conformal radiotherapy) -
Conformal radiotherapy shapes the radiation beams to closely fit the area of cancer. It is also called 3D conformal radiotherapy or 3DCRT.
- IMRT(Intensity-modulated radiotherapy) -
IMRT is a type of conformal radiotherapy. Conformal radiotherapy shapes the radiation beams to closely fit the area of cancer.
- IGRT (image-guided radiation therapy) -
Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) is the use of imaging during radiation therapy to improve the precision and accuracy of treatment delivery. IGRT is used to treat tumors in areas of the body that move, such as the lungs.
- TBI (Total Body Irradiation) -
Radiotherapy to the whole body is called total body irradiation or TBI. Total body irradiation (TBI) with megavoltage photon beam is most commonly used as part of the conditioning region for bone marrow transplantation, which is used in the treatment of a variety of diseases, such as leukemia, aplastic anemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma.
- SRS/SRT -
Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT) are advanced and modernized forms of radiation therapy. They allow delivering high-dose radiation to a small focused area like the brain.
- SBRT -
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) is a technique that delivers high radiation doses to a tumor target of ant body sires, just like radiosurgery of the brain.
- Brachytherapy -
Brachytherapy is used to treat prostate cancer, skin cancer, gynecological cancer, esophageal cancer, and tracheobronchial cancers.
