Dr. Remesh Bhasi

Dr. Remesh Bhasi is a distinguished rheumatologist in Calicut with over three decades of experience dedicated to the diagnosis and management of complex rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions. He completed his MBBS from Calicut Medical College in 1988, followed by an MD in General Medicine from KMC, Mangalore in 1992. In 1997, he earned membership in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, further strengthening his academic and clinical expertise.

His advanced training in rheumatology at Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, UK, laid a strong foundation for his professional journey. He later served as a Clinical Specialist in Rheumatology at Queen’s Hospital, Burton on Trent (UK), where he refined his skills in handling challenging rheumatology cases.

Dr. Bhasi has special expertise in managing Vasculitis, Pregnancy in Connective Tissue Diseases (CTD), and IgG4 IgG4-related disease, alongside a wide spectrum of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders. His patient-centered approach combines evidence-based medicine with compassion, offering holistic care for individuals with chronic rheumatologic conditions.

Actively engaged in professional associations, he is a member of the British Society for Rheumatology and a life member of the Indian Rheumatology Association, where he has also served as patron and past president of the Kerala Chapter. His remarkable contributions to the field were recognized when he delivered the prestigious “KOLKON ORATION” at the Indian Rheumatology Association conference in 2017.
