മാലിദ്വീപ് സ്വദേശിക്ക് പെൽഡ് ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയിലൂടെ പരിപൂർണ്ണ ആശ്വാസം
ജൂൺ മാസം 28 നാണു മാലിദ്വീപ് സ്വദേശിയയായ ഷിയാം അബ്ദുല്ല അസഹനീയമായ നടുവേദനയുമായി ആസ്റ്റർ മിംസ് കോട്ടക്കലിലെത്തുന്നത്. 2 മാസം മുൻപ് മാലിദ്വീപിൽ വെച്ച് ബാഡ്മിന്റൺ കളിക്കുന്നതിനിടയാണ് ഷിയാമിനു നടുവിന് പരിക്കേറ്റത്. തുടർന്ന് അവിടെ തന്നെ താൽക്കാലിക ചികിത്സ തേടുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാൽ തുടർന്ന് യാതൊരു വിധത്തിലുള്ള കായിക ഇനത്തിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് പങ്കെടുക്കുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ക്രമേണ മാസങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞതോടെ ഷിയാം അബ്ദുല്ലയ്ക്ക് അധിക നേരം നിൽക്കുവാനോ കിടക്കുവാനോ ഇരിക്കുവാനോ സാധിക്കാതായി. നടക്കുമ്പോൾ ശരീരത്തിൽ വളവും അതോടൊപ്പം വേദനയും അസഹ്യമായി. ദൈനംദിന കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കുകൂടി പരസഹായം വേണം എന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലായ ഷിയാം അബ്ദുല്ല വീണ്ടും ആശുപത്രിയിൽ അഡ്മിറ്റായി. ഷിയാമിന്റെ നട്ടെല്ലിന്റെ ഡിസ്ക് ബൾഡ്ജ് ചെയ്തുനിൽക്കുന്നതായി മാലി ഡോക്ടർമാർ കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ഓപ്പൺ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയക്കു വിധേയനാകുവാൻ നിർദ്ദേശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. പക്ഷെ ഷിയാമിന്റെ കുടുംബം ഓപ്പൺ സർജറിയോട് താത്പര്യമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
രണ്ടു വർഷം മുൻപു
ഷിയാമിന്റെ പിതാവ് അബ്ദുല്ല ഇതേ അസുഖത്തെ തുടർന്നു കേരളത്തിലെത്തിയിരിന്നു. അന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഡോ ഫൈസൽ എം ഇക്ബാൽ ഓപ്പൺ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ ഒഴിവാക്കി പെൽഡ് എന്ന ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയിലൂടെ പരിപൂർണ രോഗമുക്തനാക്കിയിരിന്നു. ആ ഒരു പ്രതീക്ഷയും ഡോ ഫൈസൽ എം ഇഖ്‌ബാലിനോടുള്ള വിശ്വാസവുമാണ്
ഷിയാം അബ്‌ദുള്ളയെ ആസ്റ്റർ മിംസ് കോട്ടക്കലിൽ എത്തിച്ചത്. ദീർഘ ദൂരം നടക്കാനോ ഇരിക്കാനോ പോലും വയ്യാതെ അസഹ്യമായ വേദനയോടെയാണ് ഷിയാം ഡോ ഫൈസൽന്റെ അടുത്തെത്തിയത്. തൊട്ടടുത്ത ദിവസം തന്നെ ഷിയാമിനെ പെൽഡ് ശസ്ത്രക്രിയക്ക് വിധേയനാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. സര്ജറി കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏതാനും മണിക്കൂറുകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ തന്നെ ഷിയാമിന്റെ വേദന പരിപൂർണമായി മാറുകയും പരസഹായമായല്ലാതെ എണീറ്റുനടക്കുവാനും കഴിഞ്ഞു. കേവലം ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ ആശുപത്രിവാസത്തിനു ശേഷം പരിപൂർണ ആരോഗ്യവാനായ ഷിയാം തന്റെ നാട്ടിലേക്കു തിരിച്ചുപോകുന്നതിനുള്ള തയാറെടുപ്പിലാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ.
A native of Maldives gets complete relief from Peld surgery
On January 28, Mr. Shyam Abdullah, a native of Maldives, reached Aster MIMS Kottakal with unbearable back pain. Shyam injured his back while playing badminton in the Maldives, 2 months ago. Then he sought temporary treatment there, but later he could not participate in any kind of sports competition. Gradually as the months passed, Shyam Abdullah could not stand, lie down or sit for long. His body became stiff and painful while walking. Shyam Abdullah went to the same hospital again to seek complete recovery and manage his daily activities normally. Shyam had a spinal disc bulge, but Shyam's family did not wanted to do an open surgery.
Two years ago, Shyam's father Mr. Abdullah came to Kerala following the same illness. He met Dr. Faisal M.
