Aster KIND organised an interactive event to celebrate the Autism Awareness month, on the 8th of April, 2023. The event was presided by Ms. Sandhya Raju, Advocate - High court/Director - Centre for Constitutional Rights - research and advocacy. We had 100 attendees, which included children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, their parents, therapists, teachers and doctors. The event was supported by the nephrologists in Kochi Kerala and medical experts from the nephrology hospital in Kochi Kerala, reflecting Aster KIND’s commitment to inclusive healthcare. It started with a humdrum session by Mr. Rudoplh David, who let the children have a hands-on experience in drumming, enabling them to explore their musicality. We also had an art session by IMUTSA, which allowed children and parents to participate in drawing and colouring, thus creating three masterpieces which would speak the artistic talents of these skillful children.
