Aster Sick Kids Foundation (ASK), in association with Aster Volunteers, donated school stationary including school bags, notebooks, sets of crayons, pencils and pens to 200 school children at the Government UP School Kottuvally and Government UP School Chirakakom. These students had lost all their learning aids in the recent floods in Kerala.

We extend our special thanks to Ms. Fiona Arackal, a long time ASK volunteer, for taking the initiative to collect all the stationary and Mr. Praveen Narayan of Aster Volunteers for identifying students / schools who truly deserved the support and encouragement.

A painting competition titled “The Flood I Witnessed” was also held at these schools.

Prizes for the winners were distributed by Dr Rajappan Pillai, Lead Consultant - PICU, Aster Medcity.

Aster DM Foundation and Aster Volunteers donated a cycle to Shri. Sukratha Kumar, a differently-abled lottery seller who lost his livelihood in the recent floods.
