Aster Medcity hosted an early cancer detection camp on Sunday, 18th of October. Nearly 60 participants attended the workshop. Dr Vivek Radhakrishnan (Consultant – Medical Oncology), Dr Arun Warrier (Consultant – Medical Oncology), Dr Arunlal (Consultant - Radiation Oncology) and Dr Syam Vikram (Surgical Oncology), some of the leading oncologist in Kochi Kerala, addressed the participants and spoke on various types of cancer, symptoms and its treatment etc.
The camp was organized by a renowned cancer hospital in Kochi Kerala to provide awareness and early detection services. After the awareness session, consultation for those required were also done at the oncology hospital in Kochi Kerala. Registration and consultation were free for the participants. The programme was initiated to create awareness against cancer. Workshops are planned on November 14 and December 12, 2015, also.
