Aster Medcity proudly celebrated World Breastfeeding Week 2026 on 1st August 2026 under the global theme, "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works." The event was organized by the Centre of Excellence in Paediatrics & Neonatology, reaffirming the hospital's commitment to promoting maternal and child health.
The celebration was graced by Smt. G. Priyanka, IAS, District Collector, Ernakulam, as the Chief Guest. In her address, she highlighted the vital role of breastfeeding in ensuring the health, growth, and well-being of both mothers and infants.
The programme brought together healthcare professionals, mothers, and families for a vibrant celebration featuring cultural performances, including dance and musical presentations, as well as a special fashion show by mothers.
