Aster MIMS Calicut has launched a Brain Tumor Clinic that will function every Tuesday between 3 pm to 5 pm. The unique aspect of the Brain Tumour Clinic will be a multi-disciplinary approach with the combined expertise of eight departments for evaluation of the patients and planning their treatment regimens.
Inaugurating the Brain Tumour Clinic, Dr P M Hamza, Chief - Medical Services, Aster MIMS said, “The speciality Brain Tumour Clinic will take a team approach to treating the patient. The focused medical team will harness the best skills from the Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Oncology, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Radiology, Pathology and Rehabilitation Medicine departments. The Brain Tumour Clinic is another significant initiative from the Aster MIMS Oncology Center.” Dr. Rahul Menon, CEO; Dr. Narayanankutty Warrier, Sr. Consultant and HOD, Medical Oncology; Mr. Basheer U, Executive Director were also present at the inauguration.
The Brain Tumour clinic will have specialists from across departments including Dr. Narayanankutty Warrier, Sr. Consultant and HOD, Medical Oncology; Dr. Prashant Parameshwaran, Jr. Consultant Medical Oncologist; Dr. Sathish, Padmanabhan, Radiation Oncologist; Dr. Vineetha Rijju, Palliative care physician; Dr. Jacob P Alapatt, Sr. Consultant Neurosurgeon; Dr. Noufal Basheer, Consultant Neurosurgeon; Dr. Ramakrishnan, Sr. Consultant and Head, Radiology; Dr. Jeyaseelan, Radiologist; Dr. Ashraf V. V , Sr. Consultant Neurologist; Dr. Lilly Rajeev, Sr Consultant Pathologist; and Dr. Krishnaprasad I N, Consultant, Rehablitation Medicine.
