As part of the Clear Sight Project, a comprehensive vision screening camp was successfully conducted at ALPS Pundoor in Kasaragod district, benefiting the local community. A total of 103 individuals underwent eye screening during the camp, aimed at early detection and timely management of vision-related problems.

During the screening, two patients were identified and referred for further medical treatment. Medical professionals noted that the most commonly detected conditions were refractive errors and squint, highlighting the importance of regular eye check-ups, especially at the community level.

The initiative was jointly supported by Asterians United, Aster Volunteers, OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, and Aster DM Foundation, reflecting a strong collaborative effort towards improving public eye health.

Organisers stated that the Clear Sight Project focuses on creating awareness about eye health, ensuring early diagnosis, and facilitating access to appropriate care for underserved communities. Such initiatives play a crucial role in preventing avoidable vision impairment and improving quality of life.

Through continued community outreach programs like this, the supporting organisations reaffirmed their commitment to bringing clear vision and better eye health to people across the region and strengthening preventive healthcare services in Kasaragod district.
