Dr. Ashritha is a distinguished Pediatric Hepatologist based in Bangalore. She brings a comprehensive understanding and expertise in diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide spectrum of liver and biliary diseases in children. Her passion lies in providing exceptional care to pediatric patients with liver disorders, from infancy through adolescence, while also contributing to advancements in the field through research and education.

She pursued Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 2015 from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore following which she completed Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pediatrics from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry where she was awarded gold medal for academic excellence. She then pursued senior residency in Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bangalore and went on to attain super-speciality degree, Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Pediatric Hepatology with specialised training in liver transplant care in 2023, from the prestigious Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi and was again awarded the best outgoing resident of the academic year.

Her clinical practice encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of various liver conditions, including but not limited to Metabolic Liver Diseases (such as Wilson disease, tyrosinemia, inborn errors of carbohydrate metabolism, storage disorders), cholestatic liver diseases, autoimmune hepatitis, viral hepatitis, pediatric biliary disorders (such as biliary atresia, choledochal cysts, and congenital bile duct abnormalities), vascular diseases of liver (such as Budd Chiari syndrome, extrahepatic portal vein obstruction, non cirrhotic portal fibrosis), Liver Transplant Care (Pre-transplant optimisation and post transplant care with close collaboration with transplant surgeons, immunologists, and transplant coordinators to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the transplant process, with a focus on achieving successful outcomes and long-term graft survival).

She also specialises in various skills such as upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies, liver biopsy, including guided percutaneous biopsy, trans-jugular biopsy depending on the child's age, clinical condition, and specific indications and Hepatic vein pressure gradient(HVPG) measurements. In addition to the clinical practice, she is committed to advancing the field of pediatric hepatology through research and education.
