Dr. Sriram Vijayapuri, Consultant in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery has over 11 years of experience in the field. He has extensive experience in Adult Thoracic Surgery, Thoracic oncology, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, robotic thoracic surgery and Lung Transplantation.
Dr. Vijayapuri worked as a Clinical Instructor in CT Surgery Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, USA.
Prior to the same, he worked in University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre, Pittsburgh, USA as faculty in minimally invasive thoracic & robotic surgery. Before the same, he did Fellowships in Adult Thoracic Oncology from Prestigious Peter Maccallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia.
He also worked as a Registrar in Thoracic surgery at St. James University Hospital, NHS, Leeds, United Kingdom from 2019 to 2023.
During this time he received extensive training in thoracic oncology, lung transplantation, minimally invasive procedures such as VATS and RATS, complex chest wall reconstructions, and pleural disease management.
He obtained his MBBS at Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar, MS (General Surgery) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore (Manipal University), and MCh in Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery from the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research (SJIC), Bangalore.
In July 2025, he successfully completed a Certificate Program in Healthcare Management from ISB, India, further strengthening his expertise in hospital strategy, leadership, and multidisciplinary program development.
