Dr. Jaleel K K

Dr. Jaleel K.K is a dynamic and highly committed Emergency Medicine Consultant with a decade-long track record of excellence in acute care, academic training, and public health leadership. Currently serving as a consultant of the Emergency Medicine Department at Aster MIMS Calicut, he plays a pivotal role in shaping both clinical standards and academic excellence in one of Kerala’s busiest emergency departments.

Dr. Jaleel completed his MBBS from Dr. SMCSI Medical College, Trivandrum, and went on to pursue a DNB in Emergency Medicine from MES Medical College Hospital, Perinthalmanna. Further strengthening his international credentials, he successfully completed Part A and Part B of the Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM - UK). His robust educational background forms the foundation of his evidence-based and protocol-driven approach to emergency care.

With rich professional experience from leading institutions in Calicut, Dr. Jaleel has developed a broad range of clinical expertise covering trauma care, airway management, and advanced life support. Since joining Aster MIMS in 2021, he has been instrumental in upgrading emergency care delivery and driving operational excellence across the department.

As a passionate educator and academic leader, Dr. Jaleel actively mentors postgraduate residents in Emergency Medicine (MEM, DNB, FRCEM tracks), and currently oversees the department’s academic initiatives. He has been a core faculty in over 10 regional and national emergency medicine workshops, and has played key organizational roles in landmark conferences such as EMERGENZ 2022 and EMERGENZ 2023 including designing hands-on trauma and airway workshops that attracted nationwide participation.

Dr. Jaleel’s dedication extends beyond hospital walls. A strong advocate for community awareness and preventive health, he serves as the state coordinator of Aster’s “Road Suraksha” programme, leading Basic Life Support (BLS) and Road Safety awareness campaigns in over 20 towns across Kerala. His innovative public engagement efforts ranging from street performances to digital health education videos highlight his commitment to making emergency care accessible, understandable, and actionable for the wider public.

Known for his calm under pressure, clinical precision, and visionary leadership, Dr. Jaleel continues to make a significant impact on emergency care delivery, both inside the hospital and in the community at large.
