Dr. Jayesh Bhaskaran

Dr. Jayesh Bhaskaran is a highly experienced Interventional Cardiologist in Calicut, with over two decades of clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex heart conditions. As the Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead for Structural Interventions at Aster MIMS Calicut, he is actively involved in delivering advanced, minimally invasive cardiac care supported by evidence-based practices.

He completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Calicut, followed by DNB in General Medicine from the National Board of Examinations. He later pursued DM in Cardiology from TN Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, gaining advanced training in interventional and structural heart procedures. His academic journey reflects a strong foundation in internal medicine combined with specialised cardiology expertise.

Dr. Jayesh has undergone advanced international training in complex coronary and structural heart interventions, including CTO Angioplasty training at Toyohashi Heart Centre, Japan (2010), and TAVR training at the Kerckhoff Clinic, Germany (2018), two globally recognised centres of excellence in cardiovascular care. These experiences have further strengthened his expertise in handling technically challenging cases using the latest catheter-based techniques.

With more than 20 years of hands-on experience in Adult Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Jayesh has managed a wide range of cardiac conditions, from routine coronary artery disease to complex and high-risk cases. His clinical approach is focused on precision, safety, and long-term patient outcomes. He is known for taking time to explain conditions and treatment options clearly.

As the Clinical Lead for Structural Interventions, Dr. Jayesh contributes to the development and growth of advanced cardiac programs, particularly in minimally invasive procedures that reduce recovery time and improve quality of life.
