Dr. Sithara Surendran is a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Aster MIMS Calicut with more than 16 years of experience in delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate, and personalised care to women at every stage of life, with a special focus on pregnancy, childbirth, and maternal well-being. Her expertise spans routine antenatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, labour and delivery, and the treatment of complex obstetric conditions, ensuring the highest standards of safety for both mother and baby.

Dr. Sithara has extensive experience in managing high-risk pregnancies complicated by conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, preterm labour, multiple pregnancies, and other maternal and fetal complications. She is particularly recognised for her proficiency in handling obstetric emergencies, including eclampsia, postpartum haemorrhage (PPH), abruptio placentae, uterine rupture, cord prolapse, and other life-threatening situations that require prompt clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary care.
