Dr. Shaheed S is a skilled General Surgeon with extensive experience in open and laparoscopic surgery, gastrointestinal and abdominal procedures, hernia surgery, and minimally invasive proctology. He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery at KMCT Medical College Hospital, Manassery, Calicut.He has gained valuable experience across various hospitals around Areekode, managing a diverse range of elective and emergency surgical cases.
He completed his MBBS from Dr. SMCSI Medical College, Karakonam, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Govt. T.D. Medical College, Alappuzha. He has also completed advanced fellowships in gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery, including FIAGES and FALS (Hernia), along with MMIP certification in Minimally Invasive Proctology from IMMAST, Mumbai.
With experience across academic and clinical settings, he has managed a wide range of elective and emergency surgical cases, with particular expertise in hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, trauma care, and minimally invasive proctology. His clinical practice focuses on surgical precision, patient safety, evidence-based treatment, and comprehensive postoperative care.
In addition to clinical practice, he is actively involved in medical education, mentoring postgraduate residents and medical students, conducting clinical case discussions, participating in surgical audits and research initiatives, and contributing to quality improvement and protocol development within the surgical department.
