Overview

Dr. Mohammed Nadeem is a highly accomplished and dedicated Consultant Neurosurgeon at Aster RV Hospital, Bengaluru. He joined Aster following his role as a consultant at the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), where he also completed his MCh in Neurosurgery as a Gold Medalist. His journey in medicine was marked early by excellence, having been awarded the Gold Medal in General Surgery during his MBBS final year examination at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute.

His clinical practice is deeply rooted in Cerebrovascular neurosurgery, where he has developed a high degree of proficiency in the microsurgical clipping of complex aneurysms. His expertise in the comprehensive management of cerebrovascular disease extends to conditions like Moyamoya and Arteriovenous malformations, ensuring patients receive expert surgical care for even the most challenging vascular pathologies.

Dr. Nadeem's surgical repertoire is broad-based and high-volume. He has a special interest in intricate skull base tumours and craniovertebral junction disorders (atlantoaxial dislocations, complex chiari malformation), areas where anatomical precision is paramount. He is equally adept in neuro-oncology and the management of paediatric tumours, having contributed significantly to the literature on meningiomas, gliomas, radiosurgery and paediatric hydrocephalus. His expertise is further complemented by a strong foundation in spine surgery and peripheral nerve, including Brachial plexus surgeries.

With an immense experience of managing NIMHANS's Level 1 Trauma Centre, Dr. Nadeem was entrusted with leading the management of complex head injuries, demonstrating efficiency and decisiveness in a high-volume setting. His commitment to academic excellence is evident in his numerous publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Neurosurgery, and multiple chapters in standard neurosurgery textbooks. A sought-after speaker, he has been invited as faculty at various national and international conferences, sharing his expertise on cerebrovascular and skull base surgery. He is also a recipient of the national Torrent Young Scholar Award and multiple best research paper awards.

At Aster RV Hospital, Dr. Nadeem is committed to delivering patient-tailored treatments, seamlessly integrating his extensive microsurgical experience to provide the highest standard of care for patients with all spectrum of neurosurgical pathologies.
