The transplant team at Aster Medcity, Kochi created history by performing a simultaneous live-donor liver and kidney transplant on Baby Parvathy – a 20-month old toddler who weighed just 7 kilograms. She has become the smallest child (size wise) in the world to successfully undergo this highly complex procedure. The surgery was performed by a team of liver & abdominal multi-organ transplant surgeons led by Dr. Mathew Jacob, (Consultant) & Dr. Rehan Saif (Consultant) of Aster Integrated Liver Care.
