In connection with World Emergency Medicine Day observed on May 27, Aster MIMS Calicut organized a public awareness program at HiLITE Mall, Calicut, aimed at educating the community on the importance of Basic Life Support (BLS) and emergency response skills.
The event witnessed active public participation and featured live demonstrations, hands-on CPR training sessions, and interactive awareness activities conducted by the Department of Emergency Medicine, Aster MIMS Calicut. The initiative focused on equipping people with essential lifesaving techniques that can be performed during medical emergencies before professional help arrives.
Emergency medicine specialists and healthcare professionals guided participants through adult and pediatric emergency response methods, trauma first aid practices, and the fundamentals of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The program was organized with the objective of spreading awareness about the importance of timely intervention during emergencies and empowering the community with practical knowledge that can help save lives.
The event was conducted in association with HiLITE Mall Calicut as part of Aster MIMS Calicut’s continued efforts to promote healthcare awareness and community wellbeing.
